Most evenings I'm in the lab: building topologies, breaking them on purpose, then working out how to keep them standing.

I'm Norman, and I got into this the practical way. A borrowed laptop, Packet Tracer, and a lot of late nights working out why a ping wouldn't go through. I keep notes on every lab I break, because the second time something fails I want to already know why.
Short term: an internship or junior role on a real network, plus my first certifications. After that, network security. I'd rather design something that holds up from day one than patch it after somebody gets in.

VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, static and dynamic routes. Built, torn down, rebuilt until the config made sense without notes.
Packet Tracer
Static sites for practice, hand-written HTML and CSS. This page is the first one I've shipped properly.
Front-end
Small scripts for the boring jobs: sweeping a subnet, tidying logs, checking which hosts answered.
Python
Hardening a home lab, reading traffic in Wireshark, and learning what a bad login attempt looks like from the other side.
